Donating Materials

All donated materials may be added to the library's collection.  Those materials not added to the collection are placed on our free bookshelf or recycled.

 We will accept donations of,

• New or slightly used books
• Cd's and DVDs

 

The library WILL NOT accept,

• Books with a copyright older than 3 years
• Cassette tapes or 8 Track Tapes
• Dictionaries or Encyclopedias 
• Legal or medical books
• Magazines
• Travel guides exceeding ten years of age
• Pamphlet or spiral bound books
• Reader’s Digest or Time Life condensed books
• Tech manuals
• Textbooks 
• VHS tapes

 

We also do not accept items that are not in good condition such as,

• Books with yellowed, musty, water-damaged, moldy or mildewed pages
• Books that are out of date
• Materials in generally poor condition
